Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology anticipates a gradual improvement in weather conditions, stating that sporadic rainfall is likely at some places, with cloudy weather persisting in various regions of the country today. This weather pattern is attributed to the partial impact of the westerly low-pressure system, also known as a western disturbance.

Presently, the hilly region, including Koshi Province, is experiencing cloudy weather, which is expected to clear up from Saturday. The Kathmandu Valley witnessed clear weather early today after slight rain occurred on Thursday evening.

The Division's forecast indicates that the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudur Pashchim provinces, and mainly fair in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light rain at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, the Division predicts chances of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions today.
